The Edinburgh Living Landscape team met with gardeners at Gardening Scotland 2017 to promote their new campaign, the #pollinatorpledge and were delighted with the positive response.

Gardeners were interested to hear that with over 160,000 gardens in Edinburgh that they could help form part of a massive network for pollinators. Research into urban pollinators shows that there are some simple actions that anyone with access to a garden or greenspace can take.

The aim of the pledge is to create a network of people and habitats that are supporting pollinators across the city by encouraging gardeners, users of greenspaces, and managers of parks and golf courses to follow three simple steps.

Keen to get involved, a large number of gardeners signed up to the pledge and popped their pin on the map.

If you’d like to get involved, sign up to the Pollinator pledge
